1st "Balle de match" Tennis Tournament

On Wednesday 22 April, around fifty young girls from the Lyon area (Givors, Pierre-Bénite, Bron, Mermoz, Vaise, Décines, and la Duchère), met at the Vaulx-en-Velin Tennis Club for a morning of competition. This event is the first highlight of our tennis program, gathering more and more young girls!

About the "Balle de match" program:
"Balle de Match" program offers young girls a new sporting activity, with new codes, allowing them to meet each other outside the neighborhood. Just like the soccer sessions, the tennis lessons allow to establish a quality relationship, in order to support them in their development, their emancipation and their professional integration.

In addition, as part of this program, the Sport dans la Ville educational team maintains a special relationship with the girls' families in order to involve them in their child's success.
The new "Balle de match" program is essential for working with young girls on the following pedagogical axes:
- Commitment and determination: essential attitudes to build a future in line with their aspirations,
- Dress: Tennis requires a different dress code from their usual dress code,
- Openness: Playing tennis gives access to social and cultural environments that are different from those from which the girls in the "L dans la Ville" program originate.

Many thanks to The Lacoste Foundation, The Robert Abdesselam Foundation and Babolat for their participation and loyal support of the program!
