Sports commentator: a stay in Paris

12 young people from Lyon and Saint-Etienne set off to discover the Parisian capital to meet sports commentators and journalists, on the occasion of their participation in the "Sports Commentator" project.

Launched in 2015, "Sports Commentator" is a program aimed at the young people of Job dans la Ville, to teach them to master the techniques of sports commentary, while developing their self-confidence, public speaking and oral expression. Through this exercise, they develop their critical thinking skills and learn how to process information.

The project consists of monthly workshop sessions, which are intensified during school holidays. It is on this occasion that the 12 participants for the year 2016-2017 went to Paris for a 100% soccer trip!

On the agenda:

[icon name="chevron-right " class= " " unprefixed_class= " "] Visits and meetings with professional commentators at RMC Sport (Maryse Ewanje-Epée and Vincent Moscato), Canal + (Ludovic Duchêne, Xavier Giraudon ,David Berger and Hervé Mathoux) l'Equipe (Messaoud Benterki, Candice Rolland and Raphaël Sebaoun) and beIN SPORTS (Julien Brun and Darren Tulett)
[icon name="chevron-right " class= " " unprefixed_class= " "] Commentary workshop on the set of beIN SPORTS
[icon name="chevron-right" class= " " unprefixed_class= " "] TV shows at Canal Football Club hosted by Hervé Mathoux (Canal +) and Champions Show, hosted by Darren Tulett (beIN SPORTS)

An incredible stay, thanks to the exceptional welcome of each of the companies that opened their doors to budding commentators: Canal +, beIN SPORTS, RMC and l'Equipe. Thank you for having allowed the young people to project themselves into this profession and to make them dream!

The young commentators also visited UEFA headquarters in Nyon to watch the Monaco-Juventus Champions League semi-final in the UEFA studios: an enriching experience that gave them a behind-the-scenes look at the workings of such a structure.

See you on June 3rd on the Campus of Sport dans la Ville to attend the Champions League final, with live commentary by the 12 young people of the project!
