Boston Scores, a long-standing partner of theorganization, will be organizing a new solidarity event with the support of Sport dans la Ville : Le Festival 26on the occasion of the World Cup 2026.

Boston Scores and Sport dans la Ville are proud to present the first delegations selected for Festival 26.

 

Delegations will comprise six young people aged 14 to 17, a young leader aged 18 to 25 and a delegation leader aged over 25.

 

Coming from all continents and regions, the delegations are organizations that use soccer as a tool for youth development and integration, community health, social inclusion, girls' emancipation, economic mobility and more.

A Festival solidaire will be held over 9 days from July 5 to 13, 2026, during which 400 young people from 24 nations will come together for sporting and cultural exchanges.

Young participants will be able to

during the Festival:

Take part in a fair-play soccer tournament with mixed teams of different nationalities.

Participate in a FIFA 2026 World Cup competition

Visit Boston's world-renowned cultural, historical and scientific sites

Discover Boston's sustainability initiatives

For delegation leaders: attend a "soccer for good" forum to discuss the impact of sport on young people.

July 5 to July 13, 2026: 

 

The expected impact of Festival 26 :  

Short-term :  

  

  • - Promote cultural exchange by giving young participants the means to share their ideas and experiences, and forge links across borders. 
  • - Sharing and promoting Boston's rich heritage through its history, culture and scientific reputation 
  • - Encouraging exchanges between communities and nations 
  • - Strengthen local partnerships and stimulate the local economy by promoting Boston as a focal point for sporting and cultural initiatives to participants and the media. 

  

  

Long-term :  

  

  • - Continuing the legacy of Festival 26 with lasting international relationships and collaborations, including between Boston Scores and Sport dans la Ville through the development of international youth exchanges. 
  • - The dissemination of values shared during the Festival by participants in their home countries and communities 
  • - Strengthening the City of Boston's commitment to inclusion and its support for youth and sports programs, as well as sustainable tourism. 

 

Sport dans la Ville 's expertise in

organizing solidarity sports events:  

Major international sporting events represent unique opportunities to rally people around the values of sport. Sport dans la Ville, as France's leading organization for integration through sport Francehas been committed since 2016 to bringing these great moments of emotion and togetherness to young people from priority neighborhoods, whom it supports on a daily basis.

Various events were organized or co-organized

at the initiative of theorganization :  

    • - In 2016, on the occasion of the European Championship in France with the StreetFootballWorld2016 Festival, co-organized with the UEFA Children's Foundation. This event brought together 500 girls and boys from priority neighborhoods around the world, chosen for their desire to help change the world through soccer, on theorganizations Lyon campus.

 

    • - In 2019, to coincide with the Women's World Cup in France, StreetFootballWorld and Sport dans la Ville once again worked hand in hand to organize Festival 19. This event brought together 50 international delegations (300 young people) from priority neighborhoods.

 

  • - In 2024, in the context of the Paris 2024 Games and the Legacy project of this international sporting event, Sport dans la Ville organized Festival 24 bringing together no less than 500 young people from all over the world between Lyon and Paris to celebrate the values of sport. Sporting and educational initiations, cultural outings and a conference on inclusion through sport with the United by Sports Forum were all on offer.

For all these events, young festival-goers were able to attend matches and competitions, or the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on the last edition.
