The second Apprentice Bus has arrived!

On Saturday 10 March, the children, their families and the program partners came in large numbers to celebrate the arrival of a new Apprenti'Bus in the Lyon area.

For the past few days, a new Apprenti'Bus has arrived at Sport dans la Ville. The objective: to enable more and more children, registered on the association's sports grounds, to benefit from the programme sessions, on board a bus travelling through the neighborhoods. The Apprenti'Bus enables children to improve their mastery of reading, writing and speaking.
Today, 120 children9 to 11 year olds benefit from the program. The Apprenti'Bus program offers 13 weekly meetings in Bron, Décines, Givors, Lyon, Rilleux-la-Pape, Vaulx-en-Vellin and Villeurbanne.

The inauguration of the Apprenti'Bus

On Saturday 10 March, the children registered for the Apprenti'Bus sessions came to inaugurate the new bus. From 10 am, families, children and partners of the program met on the Campus of Sport dans la Ville.

Mikaël Kemeny, Regional Director of Sport dans la Ville, opened the inauguration ceremony. He introduced the pedagogical team: Clémence and Nafissa, who will lead the sessions of the 1st Apprenti'Bus, as well as Ariane and Julie, who will lead those of the new Apprenti'Bus.

Some of our partners were present for the occasion: Charlotte Jourdain, fromNothing is everythingPascale Merle and Patrick Lepagneul, from Biomerieuxand Agathe Gros, Director of the Decitre Fund. They were able to demonstrate their actions and commitments through the partnership to support the Apprenti'Bus program.

For the occasion, Victoria, a young person from the program registered in Vaulx-en-Velin, took the microphone to talk about her experience... She introduced herself, explained the sessions and why she liked the program. Taycir, an alumnus of the program, talked about her journey. She explained how the sessions allowed her to assert herself, learn and grow while having fun.

Finally, the children of the Apprenti'Bus took part in many activities. They were introduced to linocutting and embossing. They also took part in a lettering and graphics workshop. The Double Monocle and Unis-Cités associations were present to supervise them.

The children were able to enjoy a snack. They also picked up the comic strips made during the first quarter in the Apprenti'Bus sessions.
