Career Guidance and Job Placement Counselor (M/F) – Fixed-Term Contract – Based in Saint-Étienne

Created in 1998, Sport dans la Ville has become the main organization for social integration through sport in France. Sport dans la Ville is a successful example of social entrepreneurship: all of the programs set up by Sport dans la Ville today promote the social and professional integration of 10,000 young people registered with the association. The Organization is supported by companies and public partners (Ministries, Regions, Cities).

 

Mission

 

• – You will assemble and coordinate a group of middle school, high school, and college students (ages 14 to 25) from priority neighborhoods in Saint-Chamond (La Ricamarie / Saint-Étienne in the Loire department).
• – You provide individualized support to these young people as they explore their career paths and gain professional experience (9th-grade internships, higher education pathways, work-study programs, employment, etc.) and engage them in group activities (workshops, company visits, mentoring, job fairs and team-building events, etc.).
• – You build relationships with their families.
• – You play an active role in leading group activities (TRE and soft skills workshops, etc.).
• – You’ll build relationships with local stakeholders (institutions, organizations, businesses) and participate in working groups focused on youth and career guidance.
• – You promote the development of women’s confidence and leadership, as well as gender diversity.

– A dedicated individual who takes the initiative and is driven by a spirit of teamwork.

– Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with a variety of people (youth, families, social and economic stakeholders).

– Ability to supervise and lead a group of young people.

– Interest in topics related to education, pedagogy, training programs, and workforce integration.

– A Class B driver's license is required.
