Created in 1998, Sport dans la Ville has become the main France’s leading organization for integration through sport in France. Sport dans la Ville is a successful example of social entrepreneurship: all the programs set up by Sport dans la Ville now promote the social and professional integration of 7,000 young people who are members of the organization. The Organization is supported by companies and public funding (Ministries, Regions, Cities).

 

Mission

 

Reporting to the Director for the Hauts-de-France region, you will lead and coordinate sports and educational initiatives in the region.

Management of Sports and Educational Programs:
• Ensure the smooth operation of sports programs at the 8 sports centers (Lille Metropolitan Area, Lens, Valenciennes)
• Participate in the launch, monitoring, and development of sports sessions (soccer, basketball, dance, boxing, etc.).
• Track registrations, attendance, and youth retention.
• Organize participant recruitment efforts (handing out flyers, making phone calls, local outreach).
• Develop educational projects, outings, camps, and trips.
• Participate in the implementation of programs dedicated to gender equality and diversity.

Team Coordination and Management:
• Supervise and support the educational and sports teams.
• Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.
• Set objectives and regularly monitor the teams’ progress.
• Ensure compliance with Sport dans la Ville educational approach and values.
• Lead coordination meetings and training sessions.

Operational and Administrative Oversight
• Oversee the administrative and financial management of activities.
• Ensure the proper use of monitoring and reporting tools.
• Organize material needs and monitor sports equipment.
• Conduct regular visits to sports centers.
• Participate in association events and key moments in theorganization life.

Community Development and Family Relations:
• Build local momentum with partners, families, and young people.
• Organize community-building events in local areas.
• Contribute to the development of regional projects specific to the Hauts-de-France region.

Desired profile

• Education in sports, education, project management, or program coordination (Master’s in Sports Activity Organization or Project Management).

• Experience coordinating sports, educational, or community projects.

• Management and team leadership skills.

• Organizational skills, independence, and a sense of initiative.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fieldwork.

• Proficiency in office software and tracking tools.

• A Class B driver's license is preferred.
