Sport dans la Ville supports Paris 2024

End of season clap for the young of Sport dans la Ville who took part in the last tournaments, organized on the organization's But en Or fields, to celebrate the day of Olympism, last June 24th.

450 young people in Olympic shape!

The meeting in Lyon was given on theCampus of Sport dans la VilleThe event was held in the city of Bamako, where 450 children, aged 6 to 8, from the centres in the region, were able to compete on the soccer fields under the radiant sunshine.

On this Olympic Day, young people were also able to discover two new disciplines officially on the program of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games: baseball and karate. The children also showed their support for Paris' bid for the 2024 Olympic Games.

For the last of the season, Lyon sprinter Emmanuel Biron, bronze medalist at the 2012 French Championships in the 100 meters, came to share a friendly moment with the 450 children present on the Campus. After a long exchange with the youngsters, Emmanuel Biron took them on a 60-metre run on the athletics track!

As for the young people of Ile-de-France, they were able to take advantage of the excitement surrounding the Paris bid in 2024 to meet Hélène Defrance, the French skipper who won bronze at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. The young people were also able to leave with a few "Paris 2024" gifts and a definite desire to push their city's bid for this great international event!

A huge thank you to all for this wonderful season! The resumption of the sports sessions will take place at the beginning of September.
