After the editions in Lyon and Lille, the 14th Ile-de-France Inter-Company Charity Soccer Tournament took place in Clairefontaine. This year, 72 men's and 12 women's teams competed against each other under the sign of charity.
It's 8am and the sun is starting to shine on the Clairefontaine training center where the 14th edition of the Parisian soccer tournament Sport dans la Ville will take place. This year is special because, for the first time since the creation of this event, a women's tournament will take place in parallel with the men's tournament. The teams arrive motivated and in a hurry to play soccer on this exceptional place.
After a breakfast taken in the good mood and a very sporty warm-up, the first whistle blows at 9 am: the tournament is launched. Until 12 noon, the women's and men's group matches continue at Clairefontaine to the great pleasure of the fans who have come in large numbers.
At the end of a morning punctuated by high-flying matches, conviviality and encounters, the players leave for lunch at the partner area. After a freestyler show, they leave for the fields, all ready to fight.
While the final phases begin at the men's tournament level, the girls compete in a juggling and penalty shootout relay contest. Then they join the big plain for their 8th final. The level is very high and at the end of the matches, each one closer than the other, it is finally the Decathlon company that achieves the double: the Decathlon Est team wins the 1st women's tournament in the history of the association against the Vivendi Girls and Decathlon Val de Marne wins the men's tournament against Stef Transport Paris Athis 2. Special mention to the two youngsters from the Sports Commentators program who commented live on the two finals!
The day closes with a cocktail at Clairefontaine's partner area where the teams discuss their performance and their many aches and pains!
The day was also animated thanks to the new mascot of the association which was all the rage, the smile of all the volunteers and the activities proposed in the animation village: osteopaths, tennis ball, goal shooting...
