Inter-youth exchange with the City Parks Foundation

During the summer, Sport Dans La Ville and City Parks Foundation, partnered to send 13 young French and American students on a trip to Paris and New York to discover American and French cultures.

A stay in France

Accompanied by two supervisors, Annie and Mike, 5 young Americans aged 16 to 18 from the City Parks Foundation association were welcomed for the first time by Sport dans la ville in France, from 9 to 20 July 2018, during the association's international summer camp in the Drôme Provençale, after visiting Paris and its monuments.

The young people participated in soccer, basketball, mountain bike and other sports tournaments for a week.

The young Americans were thrilled by this trip, as Philippe said, "It was one of the best experiences of my life" and Nicole said, "I liked this trip because I had never been to Europe, and I had never traveled alone. I was very excited to discover a different culture.

Supported by Elsa and Imane, 8 girls aged between 14 and 18 years old from the "Balle de match" program spent 6 days in New York City on the occasion of the 2018 US Open.

On the program of this 100% LDLV stay: tennis lessons in Central Park, visit of the September 11th museum, American soccer match, playful afternoon at Conny Island, musical comedy of the Lion King on Broadway and children's day at the US Open. A big thank you to our partners: City Parks Foundation, Air France, who showed our young girls around their agency in Lyon, before their departure, and allowed them to discover the profession of flight attendant and consultant, and above all BNP Paribas, which largely financed this wonderful program and brought all the young people (American and French) together in its New York offices!
