SPORT DANS LA VILLE

Created in 1998, Sport dans la Ville has become the main association for integration through sport in France. Sport dans la Ville is a successful example of social entrepreneurship: all the programs set up by Sport dans la Ville now promote the social and professional integration of 7,000 young people who are members of the association. The Association is supported by companies and public funding (Ministries, Regions, Cities).

Sport dans la Ville is an association created in 1998 whose mission is to restore equal opportunities by promoting the social and professional integration of young people from the priority districts of the city policy. The first sports fields were created in 1999, through basketball and soccer. Over the years, the association has grown and opened sports centers in Grenoble, Saint-Etienne, Ile-de-France, Roubaix, Chambéry, Lille and Marseille.

By offering sports activities from an early age in the heart of priority neighborhoods, Sport dans la Ville hopes to enable each young person to progress, to acquire self-confidence and values that are essential to their future success. Based on this field work, the association has created 5 programs to accompany each young person on the path to integration and employment:

❏ Sport dans la Ville - Sports sessions in the heart of the neighborhoods
❏ L dans la Ville - Accompaniment of young girls
❏ Job dans la Ville - Orientation and professional integration of young people from 14 years old
❏ Entrepreneurs dans la Ville - Accompaniment towards the creation of a company

" entrepreneurs dans la ville "

Co-created by emlyon business school and Sport dans la Ville, the Entrepreneurs dans la Ville program has been detecting, selecting and supporting ambitious young entrepreneurs who are determined to become entrepreneurs and who come from or live in priority urban areas.
The acceleration program aims to get entrepreneurial projects off the ground and reveal real business leaders through free support in two phases:

❏ The STARTER: 6 months of intensive training at the heart of the partner business school where the entrepreneur joins a class of entrepreneurs, develops his or her entrepreneurial fundamentals, explores his or her market and builds his or her business plan.

❏ THE INCUBATION: 18 months of incubation to accelerate the launch/development of the company: monthly individual coaching by a start-up manager, quarterly project reviews, and access to workshops & consultants and a workspace.

The program has 6 local offices across France: Lyon, Paris, Marseille, Lille, Saint-Etienne and Grenoble and supports around 200 entrepreneurs annually.

In each city, a local team implements and leads the program:❏ The Ecosystem Manager implements the Starter program: sourcing strategy, setting up the Starter calendar with the pedagogical team and building and leading the promotion. He/she also organizes the program's highlights, coordinates external partnerships and program communication.
❏ the start-up manager implements the incubation program: sourcing, jury, onboarding, deployment of individual and collective time. He/she is the guarantor of the progress of the entrepreneurs and the acceleration of the development of their company.
