On Tuesday 12 April, the children of the Apprenti'Bus from the communes of Rillieux-la-Pape and Vaulx-en-Velin presented the Prix du Petit Libraire to Audren, at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais de Décines.
Since the start of the school year, 40 children from the Apprenti'Bus in the communes of Rillieux-la-Pape and Vaulx-en-Velin have been taking part in the Prix du Petit Libraire, organised in partnership with the Decitre Fund.
" We're really excited to meet the author because we want to ask her lots of questions about why she wrote this book and how she got the inspiration and ideas to write. I voted for her book because it is original, and not like the others. You don't usually see racist dogs and the book was funny. Amel, 11 1/2 years old, Vaulx-en-Velin.
The children read and choose one of the five proposed books on the theme of humour. This year, Audren, author of Mon chien est raciste (My dog is racist), was unanimously acclaimed by the Apprenti'Bus. The writer came to meet the children and exchange with them about her book at the Lyon Olympic Park. The afternoon continued with an exceptional visit of the Grand Stadium, thanks to the OL Foundation.
Many thanks to the Decitre Fund, Guillaume Decitre and all his teams for their involvement in the project, as well as to OL Fondation and Clément Grenier, mentor of the Prix du Petit Libraire.
