Arkema strengthens its support for the Association Sport dans la Ville by becoming a major partner

Arkema continues its commitment to Sport dans la Ville by becoming a major partner of the association. Arkema's priority is to support the Job dans la Ville program, in line with its values of inclusion and solidarity.

Arkema has been a partner of Sport dans la Ville since 2019. For three years, the Group has supported the social and professional integration program dedicated to young girls " L dans la ville ", now supporting more than 2,400 young girls from low-income neighborhoods.

With the signing of a new agreement last January, Arkema decided to strengthen its support for Sport dans la Ville for the next three years by co-constructing a partnership for the " Job dans la ville " program, which is present in the four regions where the association is based (Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, and Sud). Aligned with the Group's values, this program fights for the social and professional integration of young people from priority neighborhoods. In 2022, more than 2,300 young people aged 14 to 25 were supported in this way.

Sport dans la Ville Arkema and its employees are fully involved in the program, offering to sponsor the young people in the program, lead English conversation classes, and host them on internships, work-study programs or VIEs. The partnership will also include site visits and career preparation workshops.

"The extension of this partnership is a natural fit with our convictions, our commitment to sport and our values of inclusion and solidarity. We are very pleased to continue to support the young people of Sport dans la ville in their social and professional integration."

Gilles GALINIER, Vice President, Communications, Arkema.

"The Job dans la Ville program was created to address the problem of unequal access to training and employment for young people from priority neighborhoods, and to combat school dropout. By reaffirming its commitment to the Association, Arkema is establishing itself as a benchmark partner that young people will be able to rely on to help them discover careers in science and industry, and benefit from professional opportunities that will enable them to move forward on the road to success. This is a great opportunity! "
Victoire CUVELIER, Private Partnerships Manager, Sport dans la Ville.
